NAWIC M.A.G.I.C Camp
Adventure in Building participated in the first annual NAWIC M.A.G.I.C. (Mentoring a Girl in Construction) Camp by soliciting donations from the local Home Depot and helping out on Carpentry/Crane Day. This week long camp encoraged five high school girls to consider construction as a future career by exposing them to activities such as plumbing, electric, HVAC, etc. Women role models also presented their personal views to the girls during several educational sessions. Aging Well
In celebration of Aging in Place week, on October 13, 2010 Monarcha Marcet co-presented with Bill Ockenden, WAO Builders at the third annual National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC) event held at the Home Builder's Association of Metro Orlando.
Topic: How Remodelers and Health Professionals can work together. Presentation included examples of accessible bathroom remodel projects.

Upcoming Events NAIPC Central Florida Chapter is hosting a Design Competition www.ageinplace.org/centralflorida Adventure in Building, Inc. provided input on developing the guidelines for this competition which is open to all Florida Designers interested in home accessibility issues. Winner will present their design at the fourth annual NAIPC event taking place in October at the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando. --- 
Adventure in Building is green by servicing Builder Clients within a 10 mile radius of the office (weather permitting) using the "PET" - Personal Electric Transportation vehicle.
